Guide to PWF
OVERVIEW:
PWF is an e-fed, an online role-playing game based on the world of professional wrestling. For those new to the e-fed concept, it is basically an internet-based reality show of sorts. You create a character, and you guide his/her wrestling career from rookie to legend. You do this through something called role-plays (RPs), or as it is called in the business, cutting "promos".
JOINING THE PWF:
To join the PWF, you must contact either one of the owners of PWF (anglefan or alan316). You can do that by clicking on our username and sending us an inbox message. If you cant figure out how to do that, dont bother. All applications will be considered and you will be added to the active roster shorty, unless ofcourse,we find you to be a moron,in which case we will probably tell you to fuck off and eat a dick.
PROMOS:
This is your main tool to create the next world champ (eg.Jean Phoenix or Ice), or future loser (eg.Mr.Socko or any of the PCW guys, lol)a Here is where you promote your wrestler, conduct interviews, call out other wrestlers, and respond to others. There are a few types of promos you can send in, and certain deadlines to meet in order to be part of a show. Promos can either make or break your career so make sure to do your best.
DIFFERENT TYPES OF PROMOS:
Story Telling: The most interesting, and popular promo to do. Here you get to tell us where your wrestler is at (location ex: Arena of show or at home,on the street and so on), whom he/she interacts with, what he/she is doing, what he/she is wearing and what he/she is thinking. It's usually a 3rd person short story with your wrestler as the main character.
Interview: Pretty obvious,in this type promo you are being interviewed. Here you can do some straight talk. In this promo there is less focus on description and more on what your wrestler is trying to say about his next match, his opponent or whatever else you can think of.
Parody: Have fun with this one,D-Generation X style. The point here is to maybe use a TV show, movie, or something of that nature and mimicking it and tailoring it against your opponent in a serious or comedic manner.
RULES OF CUTTING PROMOS:
Just like anything in life, unfortunately, there are certain rules one must follow in an e-fed.Altough PWF is on the internet and Rated R,dont go overboard with your promos.Just because this fed is Rated R, please don't have every other letter in your promo be four letters, if you get my drift. You're more likely to lose that way. In addition, any wrestler/staff member of the PWF will NOT allow or be allowed to do the following things: Any promo with any type of rape of anyone in your promo, murder of anyone in your promo, blatant racism, and bashing fellow talent (out-of-character) and/or staff in any way, shape or form. Also, no one is allowed to have his/her opponent or any other PWF character appear in a promo without consent of that individual. If you wish to include someone else in a promo, please contact that person before just assuming they'll say yes. Anyone violating these rules will be punished accordingly. If you feel a certain person is violating any rules, please contact a staff member. Again promos are never to be intended to threaten or bash any real person behind the character.Remember to stay in character in your promos.
HOW TO SUBMIT A PROMO:
This is easy, just send it to our inbox or email adress ( will provide this one later). Remember: The staff of PWF will read ALL Promos before putting them on our shows, and if the promo violates ANY rule, you will be contacted, warned, and possibly taken off the PWF roster and told to fuck off. If you have any questions do not hesitate contacting us,excuses like 'i didnt know' will not be accepted and most likely laughed at.If you dont know something you always can ask one of us and we will answer all your questions.
STORYLINES/ANGLES:
You develop characters and feuds via storylines or angles. An angle can be described as a wrestling plot which may involve only one match or may continue over several matches and shows for some time; the reason behind a feud or turn. A storyline is the story behind your character or the story that helps develop your character. An e-fed wrestler is always better when he can be truly unique from other wrestlers.
FINAL NOTE:
Obviously, the better your promos, the better chance you'll have at winning your match. Booking for the PWF will be decided by the PWF staff. In PWF we threat everyone equally and there cant be and wont be any preferential treatment for anyone.Everything is in your hands, will you be the next big thing and reach legendary status or will you fail miserably?
